You may have spotted our Malizia Explorer sailing across the Baltic Sea over the past month as we completed three research legs together with GEOMAR. Often called a "time machine“, the Baltic Sea gives scientists a glimpse into the future: As one of the fastest warming seas on Earth and heavily affected by nutrient pollution, it helps researchers understand and predict what may lie ahead for marine ecosystems around the world.
