7 days down, 4 to go and many more CTD casts and underwater recordings to be made as we sail through the largest fjord system on Earth in Greenland with the Alfred Wegener Institute, Helmholtz Centre for Polar and Marine Research.


To give you a bit of an insight into what goes on onboard a research vessel like ours when we collect data in the Arctic, we compiled a short vlog for you to be a fly on the wall for 24 hours as we navigate the towering icebergs and untouched wilderness of Scoresby Fjord, Greenland.
From early morning science experiments and data collection to countless cakes from our wonderful cook, all surrounded by giant ice structures: this is what life at 70° North really looks like!

  • 08:30 - Breakfast

  • 09:30 - Arctic Science Experiments in Action

  • 13:00 - Lunch

  • 14:00 - End of science experiments

  • 14:30 - Laptop work 17:00 - Coffee Break with a View (Massive Icebergs!)

  • 19:30 - Life Onboard (Dinner & Chill)

  • 23:00 - Sunset in the Fjord & Bed time
